Join an existing Ion Reporter™ Software organization on Connect

You can join an existing Ion Reporter™ Software organization on Connect by invitation from a software administrator in that organization. For more information, see Invite a user to an organization on Connect.

When you join an organization, you can share data and results with other users in that organization. To create a new organization, see Create an organization on Ion Reporter Software on Connect.

You can belong to only one organization at a time. If you are already a member of an Ion Reporter™ Software organization on Connect, you cannot accept an invitation from another organization until you are removed as a user from your current organization.

  1. If you have not already done so, create a new account on thermofisher.com. Your user name and password are also used to sign in to Ion Reporter™ Software on Connect. Your user name is your email address.
  2. When an Ion Reporter™ Software administrator for the organization adds you as a new user, an email with an invitation to join the organization is sent to your email address.
  3. Click the link in the email Invitation.
  4. If you do not already have an account on thermofisher.com with the email address that the invitation was sent to, you are prompted to create one.

    The email address of your account must match the address that the invitation was sent to.

  5. In the screen that opens, enter the two-factor authentication code from email that contains the code.
    1. (Optional) Select Remember for 72 hours to use the same computer for 72 hours to sign in with the same user ID without re-entering the authentication code. This setting applies only if you subsequently sign in using the same browser and computer that is used the first time you sign in. If another computer is used, or another user signs in, an authentication code must be entered.
    2. Click Verify.
      A message that the account has been verified is shown on the screen.
  6. In the Confirm Organization creation dialog box, accept the invitation for the organization. Select the organization name to accept and click Ok to accept the invitation.
    • Click No to sign in with the verified account and join an existing organization.
    • Click Yes to create a new organization.
  7. Accept the Terms of Use to start using Ion Reporter™ Software.
